Netflix Casts Perfect Actor for Bon Clay in One Piece Third Season

The Secret Organization is set to exert significant influence in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, although the true confrontation won’t take place until season 3, and a cherished, fan-favorite member has recently been selected.

The streaming service revealed recently that the talented performer is now part of the One Piece season 3 cast and will embody Mr. 2. This character has the ability to change into an exact copy of any individual they’ve made contact with with their right hand. The performer, who is non-binary and goes by they/them, will play a interpretation of that role re-envisioned as non-binary, instead of as a drag performer, in the live-action series, differing from the source material and anime.

This performer will work alongside several other recently announced actors tasked with bringing the organization to life, such as leader Sir Crocodile, played by Joe Manganiello, a talented actress as another operative, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who also joins the lineup as the monarch of the fictional land.

Even though the role is a key figure of the organization, the persona won’t make their debut One Piece the third season. Given season 2 likely to portray the Little Garden storyline, this represents a notable change in the schedule of their first appearance, one that could indicate additional alterations to the plot development.

Escola’s blend of sharp comedic timing and profound feeling makes them a standout choice for the role. In addition to their latest vocal work in the youth-focused cartoon movie Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and several accolades for penning and acting in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, emphasizing the versatility they’ll bring to one of One Piece’s widely praised characters.

The platform’s adapted One Piece program is set to return for its second season on the tenth of March, 2026.
