Ukraine Launches Large-Scale Manufacturing of Novel Defensive Drones

Ukraine has announced the commencement of mass production for a new domestically developed interceptor drone to reinforce its air defences. The first three producers have begun manufacturing, with 11 more getting ready to set up assembly lines, Ukrainian military officials announced this past Friday.

Advanced 'Octopus' System Proven in Combat Conditions

The drones will be based on a domestically developed system called “Octopus” engineered to intercept Iranian-made drones. The system underwent testing in combat and proved effective “at night, under jamming and flying low,” the ministry confirmed. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy established an ambitious goal of manufacturing up to 1,000 interceptors each day.
